Our near neighbours provided the opposition in the opening game of the season for the 1st XV.
One of the notable features of the home side was the significant number of young players who were back together for the first time since playing under 18s for the club Emmett Wrenn,Charlie O Doherty, Daniel Normoyle, Jack Grimes, Bobby O Donovan,Chris Walsh. They all acquitted themselves well and their commitment to their home club is much appreciated. The team also welcomed the return of TJ Relihan and Charlie O Doherty.

It was also great to see our supporters back on such a beautiful afternoon. It was March 2020 since they were allowed attend games.
I would especially like to welcome back Noreen Mulcahy who  had been ill for a while last year, she took up her usual position on the riverside of the field.

The match itself was a good workout for both teams with the home-side running out winners.
