The season of 2021/22 is now in the history books and no one can ever deny that it was the most successful season to date.

The 1st XV open their season with a home Transfield Cup fixture on 4th September in Cullinagh V St Senans.

On the following Saturday 10 September another historic day beckons for Newcastle West RFC as for the first time in the clubs history they will play in the Munster Senior Cup against Cashel at 2.30 pm in Cashel.This competition is normally confined to senior clubs only,but because of winning last season’s league we were invited in.

The team have been training in the last few weeks and all is going well.

The fixtures list for the first XV is here and will also be posted on our Facebook page. We Will post full fixture list for Second XV next week.The second XV open there season on Saturday September 10th with a home fixture V Presentation at 2.30 pm in Cullinagh.

The 1st XV is Captained this year by Gerald Griffin.He is looking forward to the season and he said “no stone will be left unturned in an attempt to make this year more successful then the previous”.

To all our supporters who come to Cullinagh at weekends and those who travelled around Munster,Leinster and Ulster last year.We look forward to seeing you.
