Newcastle west 2nd team played in Gleeson League against Listowel away last Saturday another win for this great team.
Under 12s
Our u12s travelled to thomond rfc where we fielded 2 teams and played 6 games vs teams from Nenagh, scariff, killaloe and thomond rugby clubs. Some great tries scored and hard tackles made. A great morning of rugby....well done to all players, looking forward to our next blitz
Under 13s
Paul O Connell offering some encouragement and advice to the NCW RFC u13s following their game against UL Boh’s On Sunday.Our under 13s had a super star of rugby with this weekend when they took to the filed in UL Bohs last Sunday, Paul O Connell was on hand to give our lads some great rugby tips.

Under 14s
Our U14s played an enthralling game with Thomond/Richmond in cullinagh last Sunday.
We were leading by 7 points with 2 mins to go but unfortunately conceded a try allowing the game to end in a draw 31-31
Under 15s
Our U15s who put up a great fight before losing out 29-12 against a strong Ennis 15 . There was nothing between these sides with 10 minutes to go , but 2 late tries gave the Clare men the edge in a close contest …

Fundraising Events
A big thank you to all who came last Thursday night to support Whelans Bar quiz in support of Newcastle west rugby club, a great night was had by all.
Well done to Geroid Whelan who had a great score in the quiz, all those days looking out the window in the Courtney Boys School paid off.
Minis & Youth training
Our Minis are back training now every Sunday morning in killeline at 10.30am so if your child would like to take up rugby please call up and we would be happy to introduce you and your child to our club boys and girls and all ages welcome.
